To which I again say: Good! Then they\u2019ll have to sat\u00adis\u00adfy their curiosi\u00adties about emo\u00adtion\u00adal matu\u00adri\u00adty and social inter\u00adac\u00adtion and pos\u00adsi\u00adbly even think\u00ading about mak\u00ading the world a bet\u00adter place.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Chances are that almost all of them are open in some way, whether Libre<\/em> or Gratis<\/em> or exten\u00adsion lev\u00adel<\/em> or UI lev\u00adel<\/em> or API lev\u00adel<\/em> or hard\u00adware lev\u00adel<\/em>. We got this far because of open\u00adness and pro\u00adgram\u00adma\u00adbil\u00adi\u00adty, some\u00adtimes push\u00ading down exten\u00adsive tech\u00adno\u00adlog\u00adi\u00adcal and eco\u00adnom\u00adic bar\u00adri\u00aders raised by closed-ecosys\u00adtem builders to do so.<\/p>\n

Being pissed off because you don\u2019t grok the pro\u00adgram\u00adming that makes your trin\u00adkets work is no rea\u00adson to slap the orig\u00adi\u00adna\u00adtors in the face and gen\u00ader\u00adalise them into a group with \u201cobses\u00adsive-com\u00adpul\u00adsive prob\u00adlems mixed with an anti\u00adso\u00adcial attitude\u201d.<\/p>\n

When tech\u00adnol\u00ado\u00adgy seems rosy it\u2019s a rea\u00adson to push hard\u00ader for the next expo\u00adnen\u00adtial improve\u00adment, not grab the near\u00adest elit\u00adist-woven com\u00adfort blan\u00adket and call it a day.<\/p>\n
