There\u2019s no real ratio\u00adnale apart from \u201c<em>Chap\u00adlains play[ing] a sig\u00adnif\u00adi\u00adcant role in\u2026 sup\u00adport\u00ading the well\u00adbe\u00ading, val\u00adues and spir\u00adi\u00adtu\u00adal\u00adi\u00adty of young peo\u00adple<\/em>\u201d; a high\u00adly debat\u00adable state\u00adment at best. Even at 13 I under\u00adstood the absur\u00addi\u00adty of those class\u00ades being explic\u00adit\u00adly opt-out instead of opt-in; con\u00adsid\u00ader the par\u00adents and car\u00aders who don\u2019t think about reli\u00adgion and thus aren\u2019t like\u00adly to know their child is being deliv\u00adered a dose of Arbi\u00adtrary Belief Sys\u00adtem\u2122 each week.
