In my mind it comes down to whether the 80\/20 rule is being served (cov\u00ader\u00ading sig\u00adnif\u00adi\u00adcant use-cas\u00ades) and whether keyframe data con\u00adsti\u00adtutes pol\u00adlut\u00ading style sheets. I def\u00adi\u00adnite\u00adly feel that keyframe data does\u00adn\u2019t belong in&nbsp;CSS.<\/p>\n<p>I like to be prac\u00adti\u00adcal how\u00adev\u00ader, and in this sit\u00adu\u00ada\u00adtion CSS is a con\u00adve\u00adnient, exten\u00adsi\u00adble deliv\u00adery mech\u00ada\u00adnism with estab\u00adlished pars\u00ading and fall\u00adback rules wide\u00adly imple\u00adment\u00aded. Of course this means the spec has a greater chance of imple\u00admen\u00adta\u00adtion than a com\u00adplete\u00adly new pro\u00adpos\u00adal for Cas\u00adcad\u00ading Ani\u00adma\u00adtion Sheets with new pars\u00ading rules. We have to weigh the val\u00adue of CSS puri\u00adty vs hav\u00ading a work\u00adable alter\u00adna\u00adtive to the \u201ctra\u00addi\u00adtion\u00adal\u201d ani\u00adma\u00adtion options such as Flash. JS ani\u00adma\u00adtion is a niche, does\u00adn\u2019t fit to the devel\u00adop\u00ader audi\u00adence and the tools just aren\u2019t there. Anoth\u00ader five year wait for a sim\u00adple ani\u00adma\u00adtion sys\u00adtem could pret\u00adty much kill any chance of adop\u00adtion&nbsp;later.<\/p>\n<p>On the oth\u00ader hand, I don\u2019t think any\u00adone involved in the ini\u00adtial SVG spec imag\u00adined it\u2019d ever include raw sockets.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>First off, lol.
